Light is a collection of musical compositions by Arvo Pärt (1935), Veljo Tormis (1930) and Gregorio Allegri (1582-1652). Throughout this music shines an unfathomable light. Founders of religions and mystics of all times have spoken of this light as our true nature. Peter Russell, physicist and student of Stephen Hawking, states that light is the meeting point of religion and science. Light is consciousness. It is eternal, beyond time and space.
Music consoles people. According to the principle of resonance this happens through quiet and sad music rather than through loud and "happy" music. If the frequency of a person resonates with the music a harmonious effect takes place. The soul gives up fighting against its own darkness, while at the same time it is carried by the light of god, rising above all suffering. Excerpts from "Miserere" have been taken from the CD "Miserere - Gregorio Allegri" CCn'C 00382. All other titles are new recordings and previously unreleased.
